Founder of The Movement Mentality, Host of The Movement Mentality Podcast, Author of Chronic Pain For Dummies
Let’s make the nervous system make sense.
Missy talks about pain, movement, vision, balance, cranial nerves, and the brain in a way people can understand and use.
Your audience will leave with a clearer way to think about what the nervous system may be prioritizing and something practical they can test right away.
Why book her
She teaches like she talks
Neuroscience that earns its keep.
Because she makes complicated things useful.
Missy teaches the way she talks: warm, direct, and impatient with jargon that doesn’t earn its keep.
She connects the science of pain, vision, balance, cranial nerves, mobility, and performance to the real person standing in front of you.
Expect real stories, real client examples, and something your audience can try during the episode: a vision drill, a balance assessment, or a simple cranial nerve screen they can use with a client on Tuesday afternoon.
Missy will never ask your audience to take her word for it.
She’ll ask them to test it.
“Sometimes what looks like tightness isn’t tightness at all. Sometimes the brain just hasn’t decided that more range is safe yet.
For more than 15 years, Missy has taught movement professionals how to think more clearly about pain, mobility, balance, vision, and performance. She also hosts her own podcast, so she knows how to teach without taking over the conversation.
Ask her the question you are genuinely curious about. That is usually where the good stuff starts.
What can Missy talk about?
Start with a question
When pain outlives the injury
Tissue can heal while pain sticks around. Why does that happen? Why can a scan look ‘fine’ while someone still hurts? And what does the nervous system have to do with all of it?
The 12 nerves almost nobody checks
Most movement certifications barely touch the cranial nerves. Your clients still show up with all 12 of them. Missy explains what they can reveal about pain, movem
Your eyes are running your squat
Vision and balance quietly influence posture, range of motion, strength, coordination, and pain. Change the information going into the brain, and the output can change, sometimes in seconds.
When stretching stops working
Everybody has that client the one who feels better after a session and is right back where they started six hours later. When the usual tools stop creating change, where do you look next?
Explaining pain without making people feel broken
How do we talk about pain and the nervous system in a way people can understand without oversimplifying, overpromising, or making them feel fragile?
When the weird thing becomes your thing
How Missy followed one unexpected result into a career in nervous-system education and what she has learned about curiosity, testing, teaching, and building a business around specialized work.
About Missy
Missy Bunch is a multi-certified movement therapist, educator, author, speaker, podcast host, and former professional dancer who has spent more than 15 years helping people understand what the nervous system has to do with pain, movement, and performance—which is to say: pretty much everything.
Her path into neurology was personal. After four years of chronic knee pain, one brain-based movement session changed everything. The pain was gone—and Missy had questions. A lot of them.
So she did what she still teaches her students to do today: she got curious, tested what she was learning, and followed the results.
That rabbit hole became her career.
Today, Missy is the Founder of The Movement Mentality, Co-Founder of Movement IQ, a Z-Health Master Trainer and Instructor, host of The Movement Mentality Podcast, and author of the forthcoming Chronic Pain For Dummies.
Through her courses and mentorship, she teaches movement and health professionals how to assess what the nervous system may be prioritizing, use inputs from the eyes, inner ear, and joints, and make smarter decisions with the human standing in front of them—without the woo, unnecessary jargon, or random-drill roulette.
Her work is not about throwing away everything practitioners already know. It is about giving them another lens for the clients who do not follow the rules, the pain that does not make sense, and the “tight” muscle that somehow stays tight no matter how much it gets stretched.
Missy is warm, direct, deeply curious, and not precious about the science. If something works, she wants to know why. If it doesn’t, she wants to test something else. And if a technical term does not help someone understand or act, it probably does not need to be there.
Training + education
Missy’s street cred.
Fifteen+ years of studying, testing, teaching, and staying curious.

Let's get her on the show
Tell us a little about your show, your audience, and the conversation you want to have. The form takes about two minutes, and the more we know about your listeners, the more Missy can build the conversation around what will actually help them.
She can teach something live, work through a listener question, unpack a common pain misconception, or go deeper into how the nervous system influences movement.
